Pastoral Care Services

DevonHouse is pleased to announce the addition of Rev. Rodney Wells to our team of dedicated and caring individuals. Rev. Rodney W. Wells is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and president of Wellscom Consulting. He will be available to provide pastoral care and support for families and their loved ones who may benefit from his counseling experience and his spiritual support.

News from Chef Jim’s Kitchen

For the month of October we will be having an Oktoberfest theme meal buffet. We’ll also be making changes to the menu for the Fall/Winter cycle, and we’re always up for suggestions.

Our weekly patio picnics are still going until the weather says we can’t anymore.

Bakers’ Club will meet later October. We will hold the club in the activity room so we can utilize the kitchen and will bake a treat to go with our Oktoberfest Theme.

News from the Activity Department

Fall is here! The weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter. Our October Halloween festivities will warm your “spirits” (pun intended). We will celebrate with a haunted ladies’ tea, followed by some tricks and treats at our “Boo Bingo.”

On Halloween residents are invited to dress in costume and have their picture taken at our photo booth. Or should we say boo…th? We will share some ghoulish snacks at our “Monster Mash Bash” Halloween social.

Plan to stay up late to fill the neighborhood kids’ pumpkins with goodies at our annual trick or treat night. Candy will be provided but donations are also happily accepted. Just see Melissa in activities.

Please visit our events page for more information about our resident events and activities.
