The holiday season is always exciting DevonHouse. We’re thrilled to welcome friends, families, school groups, and entertainers to share the holiday with us!
We have many special events planned right here in our cozy community, as well as weekly scenic drives to see “Lights In the Parkway.”
Families are welcome to join us for special holiday meals (or anytime). Just say the word, and we’ll be sure to have enough delicious treats for everyone. Dining at DevonHouse is truly something special!
All of us at DevonHouse Senior Living wish you a happy holiday season and a wonderful new year!
News from Chef Jim’s Kitchen
Our Christmas meal features a traditional Christmas ham with all the fixings, plus a decadent cheesecake for dessert. The Christmas meal will be served at lunch on Christmas Day, and families and friends are welcome to attend.
Please let us know if you and your family will be joining us (or if you’ll be leaving for the day) so that we have plenty for everyone.
The new year is just around the corner, and on New Year’s Day, we’ll have a pork and sauerkraut meal served at lunch. It is said if you eat pork and sauerkraut on New Year’s Day, you will have good luck for the entire year!
The annual pie sale is in full swing through January 1st. Please stop by the front desk to order your pie.

News from Activities
The holiday season is here! December kicks off with our yearly visit from the elf on the shelf. This year he brought along some new friends, so be sure to check out their hijinks outside of the dining room each day.
Nothing says holidays quite like your favorite holiday sweater! Every Friday in December is Festive Sweater Friday. We look forward to seeing residents, staff, and friends in their holiday best. (Or worst!)
The annual scenic drives to see Lights In The Parkway will be on Wednesday evenings throughout December. Please, only one visit per person so that everyone can enjoy this event.
Finally, we all wish Francis Larash a happy 100th birthday on December 9th.
There are so many fun activities and special visitors this month to get you in the spirit. Please come out and join the festivities!
