From The Desk Of The Executive Director
With a calendar full of special holidays ahead, we at DevonHouse are looking forward to the many opportunities this season brings for us to show our specialty: hospitality.
We’re excited to see families from different places, near and far, come to visit DevonHouse to see their loved ones.
As we put up decorations to celebrate the many different holidays, we invite families and friends to share a meal in the dining room, to take time to sit and enjoy each other’s stories, and to join us for fun activities. While you are visiting, please enjoy complimentary guest meals as well as pastries, fruit, and coffee in the living room.
And, of course, you are always welcome to warm up with a cup of hot coffee in one of the country kitchens around the community!
We are delighted to extend our hospitality in welcoming everyone to their loved ones’ home during the holidays and always.
And, as ever, we are thankful for the support and graciousness of our community of residents, families, staff, and friends.
News from Chef Jim’s Kitchen
Thanksgiving is here! We’re serving up a traditional holiday meal on Thanksgiving Day. Of course, we’ll have turkey with all of the fixings, pumpkin pie, and much more!
Our annual holiday pie sale is in full swing until January 1st. You can order a pie from anyone in the Food & Beverage department and we will have it baked, boxed, and ready to go on the day you want it. Look for the signs throughout the building for availability and cost.

News from Activities
November is all about being thankful.
We’re showing our thanks this month to our veterans, to those fighting against pediatric cancer (with a cookie sale fundraiser), and of course, thankful for our friends and family.
Please come out and join in the activities on tap, whether your preference is music, art, visits from furry friends, or relaxing with a cup of tea! We have many residents to welcome. You’re sure to make a new friend or two!
Get ready for a busy holiday schedule! Look for the return of our fun annual holiday events and more.
-Melissa Bartynski, Director of Activities
