News from Chef Jim’s Kitchen
There is a lot to celebrate this month!
We will be celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9th with a special brunch menu. We will also feature a special brunch style menu on Wednesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 26th.
Our Friday events will continue to alternate between ice cream socials and wine and cheese socials.
We will end the month with a patio picnic at lunch on Memorial Day. It’s the unofficial start of summer, and the official start of our weekly patio picnic lunches, which will go until the weather changes in the fall.
Other fun May food events include:
May 4 – Orange Juice Day
May 5 – Cinco de Mayo
May 10 – Shrimp Day
May 15 – Chocolate Chip Day
May 16 – Pickle Day
May 17 – Walnut Day
May 22 – Vanilla Pudding Day
May 27 – Apple Pie Day

News from Activities
Warm weather means open windows and open doors! We’re delighted to welcome back our volunteers from St. Thomas More Church. Robin and Larry will resume the Rosary every Friday at 3:00 pm. Weather permitting, we will host the event on the back patio.
Now that the weather is warm, our gardening group will reconvene on Mondays at 3:30 pm to plant herbs and vegetables in our raised planter beds on the patio. Everyone is welcome to come and get their hands dirty! I’m also looking for a few volunteers to help water regularly.
Families can email me at [email protected] to schedule FaceTime calls. We will do our best to coordinate calls between scheduled programs Monday through Friday.
Everyone is welcome to join every activity. It’s the best way to make new friends and keep busy!
